Stayed at AKL for four nights last week. The hotel is visually stunning, the lobby is amazing and the staff were helpful. The rooms were average sized rooms, bathroom a bit small but the double sink area was great. We stayed in a savannah view room - we saw giraffe and other animals outside of our room daily - definitely a unique experience.
