Ram 2500 stuck in 4th gear.

Code is P0750 which is the Shifter solenoid. Truck doesn't even have 5000. miles on it yet and they got to replace this part. I think damage has already. been done by how many times it has made this loud hard clunk and gone into. 4th gear manual shift mode. If that is what's happening, you probably have a burned OD clutch. But if the TCM is never telling it to shift, then the problem is likely in the PCM (or the throttle or output speed reading).

The ECM might need to see itself out of limp mode, which would mean connecting the missing parts back on for it to see them to pop out of limp mode, and be tuned.

In order to fully release the tension keeping it in gear or get the gears to mesh going in, you want to be moving 1-3 mph in either direction when ever you shift in or out. Always try to shift out of 4x4 low on before getting on a hard surface, especially turning.

Feb 20, 2021 · I am not hard on the truck and changed the fluid and filters at 100k. It doesnt make any attempt to move in drive, but also doesnt make any noises. The only way to correct it is to pull over and turn truck off for 5-10 minutes and then restart it. Ive had a similar problem in a chevy. In my instance the shifter actually jumped out of the grooves between the shift forks. You can take the console off around the shifter and pull the boot up and take the four bolts loose that hold the shifter to the tranny. when you pull up the shifter you will see the grooves that the shifter is supposed to go in.On a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT, this morning was -4*c (24F) and when I started it up heading to work I noticed it was stuck in 4th gear. The thrust washer came off, went through the gear case and was caught on the magnet on the bottom of the tranny case. Yes - P0783 3-4 shift. Functional Operation; 4th gear operation is provided electrically through the OD solenoid. The PCM monitors the engine RPM's when it commands the 3-4 shift. If the engine RPM's do not drop within 4 seconds of the 3-4 shift being commanded by the PCM, code P0783 will set after three concecutive failed shifts.Transmission was flaring between 3rd and 4th gears with delayed garage shifts. Replaced PCM, Torque converter, Pump Assy, cluthes (the 4 cluthes were not burnt, but did have metal grit stuck in the friction material) Installed new clutch and 4C clutch retainer was melted to the reverse flush cooler.
