Service rear vision system.
I just installed a trailer hitch on my 19 Equinox with the 2.0T engine. The screen flashes briefly with the "service Rear Vision System" message but then goes to the camera display without the lines. Is this due to the hitch being installed? There is a service bulletin for this. Believe it is a software update.

I recommend clean your camera connector out with cutips the ones you use for your ear. Then apply a ton of silicone. Once you clean the connector out you can see the tab has a small gap which allows water inside . I know how electronics can go all wonky if they don’t see the exact voltage they require. Either way, if someone is experiencing a service note on their rear camera, it would be worth having a battery test or disconnecting like you say.
